Coverage Options
Understanding your coverage options helps you build a policy that protects what matters — without paying for what you don't need.
Liability Insurance
Covers damage you cause to others in an accident. Every state except New Hampshire requires minimum liability limits, typically ranging from 25/50/25 to 100/300/100.
Full Coverage
Combines liability, collision, and comprehensive insurance in one policy. Full coverage is required by most lenders and costs 2-3x more than liability-only after a violation.
Non-Standard Auto Insurance
Specialized policies for high-risk drivers who have been denied by standard carriers. Non-standard insurers accept drivers with DUIs, multiple violations, or SR-22 filing requirements.
Uninsured Motorist Coverage
Protects you when hit by a driver with no insurance. Required in 22 states and recommended in all others, as 13% of U.S. drivers carry no insurance.
SR-22 Insurance
Certificate of financial responsibility required after DUI, multiple violations, or license suspension. SR-22 filing adds $15-$50 to premiums and must be maintained for 1-5 years depending on state.
Collision Coverage
Pays to repair your vehicle after an accident, regardless of fault. Collision coverage is optional unless you finance or lease, and typically carries a $500-$1,000 deductible.
